Who we are

At Ferguson Litigation Funding Ltd (“FLF”), we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients. In particular, we’d like you to know that FLF is not in the business of selling, renting or trading your personal data with other businesses for marketing purposes.

However, we do hold some personal information so that we can successfully act on your behalf. The types of data and reasons are detailed below.

Privacy is your right.

Data we collect

To successfully process a claim, as you can imagine, there’s a bit of info we are going to need.

As part of a standard claim, the following data is required, and therefore collected:

  • Name.
  • Date of birth.
  • Contact information such as address (including previous addresses), telephone numbers and email addresses.
  • Financial information such as bank details, credit cards, loans, mortgages and possible PPI policies.
  • Information about your financial status. E.g. IVA, Debt management plans and bankruptcy.

If you are providing this information on behalf of someone else (e.g. joint signatory information), similar information will be collected in accordance with our privacy policy.

Note: Although we collect and process information such as bank and credit card details, we will never ask for information that would give us access to any accounts (e.g. passwords or CVV digits).

What we do with your data

We use the data we collect from you to form the arguments and details for a claim against the bank or credit card provider.

This information is stored within our case management system and used to reference when communicating with the bank on your behalf, and to generate letters of claim.

Sharing of data

From time to time we use other businesses to help us process your claim. In particular, Quickdox Ltd who help us ensure we have correct and accurate information from you in order to increase the chances of a successful claim.

We will pass them a copy of the pack which is posted to you. This will let them know your name, address to make contact with you, and financial information such as details of credit card accounts in order to verify our information. They will collect further information with your consent in order to assist us with your claims.

Access to your personal information

We review this policy from time to time. Either when the business processes have changed, or a year has passed since the last review.
